My Dance Experience

Right, before you get all bored I am going to keep this as short as I can, because I know I get carried away with talking.

Also, 6 years worth of work is a lot to say, not that I couldn't. Just won't.

Performance
I have performed various of pieces in many places, mainly around Birmingham and Worcestershire areas (England).
The furthest I have performed so far, and I say so far because I'm hoping to perform in more places around the world, were in America (Baltimore) and Malta (Valletta).
While I love performing fun fact about me is, I got stage fright. It's that moment before stepping on to the dance floor in front of everyone that gets my heart beating too fast. But as soon I get on it's all fine and most of the time you can't see the audience, well if there's lighting any ways.

Yes, in this video everything you saw was on the spot. The only things that was "choreographed" was my first movement and who was roughly in and out of the stage. The rest was done from working around the "rules" that was applied on the spot, on the stage.

It's beautiful isn't it?!

Teaching
Where do I begin? Well, I have taught from the age 5 years old all the way to 60+. No word of a lie.
I have taught/ worked in Primary schools, Secondary schools, College, University of Worcester, SEN children, older adults (seated classes, dementia patients and dance exercise classes for seniors).
Teaching was always something I loved to do and when my confidence grew it became fun and not so scary.
My personal tip is: teach others how you would like to be taught.

Choreography
The fun part of creating choreography is the imagination behind it all.
When I listen to music I don't just listen to it. I notice how it makes me feel, how I want to move, what are the lyrics? I imagine where the choreography would take place, lightening/ natural light, would it be solo or group etc. There is a lot that I imagine and base my choreographies around, but out of everything I would say how it makes me feel, move and the message I want to send across.
And because of this, improvisation has always been a strong strength of mine, so 9 out 10 it's pretty easy to come up with movement and create.
So overall, I have created lots of choreographies small or big, but now I create roughly 2 to 4 short choreographies/ movement a week for my programmes and 1:1 sessions.

Some tasters of choreographies I have created for fun or classes.
